Whidbey Island is served by several public school districts, including Oak Harbor, Coupeville, and South Whidbey. These districts offer a range of elementary through high school options within supportive, community-focused environments.

Life on Whidbey Island is centered around the outdoors and vibrant local communities. Residents enjoy everything from scenic hiking trails and quiet beaches to farmers markets, local wineries, and charming waterfront towns throughout the island.

Many people enjoy the youth sports options, local parks with playgrounds, beaches, indoor activities such as bowling, movies, and skating, and our unique outdoor drive-in movie theatre!

While Whidbey offers some basic box stores and amenities, you can expect to drive 40 minutes to the nearest major shopping, like Target, Costco, Best Buy, etc. Don't worry, its a beautiful drive! 

Our daylight shifts quite drastically! In the Summer, you can enjoy long days of sunlight from 5 AM-10:30 PM, while the winter changes to shorter days with sunlight from 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM.
